I’m Connected!!

We now have a phone that works and internet and TV (which makes Ned very happy).

The 2 pods that held all our stuff are now empty and ready to be picked up. I’ve started ordering furniture and have the kitchen pretty well usable. Every room has boxes and boxes. That’s ok, the furniture isn’t going to be here for a bit. Besides, we mostly sit out on the porch and catch a breeze.

Ned arrived and it was 90+ degrees and he immediately went out and bought 2 air conditioners. Bit of a change from Santa Cruz!

I love it! We have the nicest neighbors. People have been dropping by to say hey. In fact, I’ve met more people in the past couple of weeks than I did in the 3 years we lived at our old house. And what’s really wonderful is that no one holds being from CA against us. They’re just glad for us that we got out. It would surprise the folks back in CA to know that most people around here don’t give a hoot about what Californians think. Heh!

The dogs are having so much fun exploring all the new smells and sounds and the cats survived their cross country journey ~ they were even happy to see the dogs by the time they arrived.

Well, I certainly have a lot of catching up to do in the blogsphere. I’m hoping to get to visiting ya’ll before too long. In the mean time, here’s the link to my photos of the cross country adventure:

Leaving Santa Cruz

I’ll be back soon – time to go do something with those boxes and look at more furniture.

Going to be another hot one today.
