This will not do!!
The Democratic governor of Virginia, Timothy M. Kaine, has appointed Dr. Esam Omeish to the Virginia Commission on Immigration: Valley delegate challenges Kaine appointee to immigration panel.
Esam Omeish is a name LGF readers may recognize; he’s the leader of the Muslim Brotherhood’s primary front group in the United States, the Muslim American Society.
A local delegate has asked Democratic Gov. Timothy M. Kaine to re-think his appointment of the head of the Virginia-based Muslim American Society to the Virginia Commission on Immigration.
Del. Todd Gilbert, R-Woodstock, wrote to Kaine earlier today, saying he was concerned about the appointment of Dr. Esam S. Omeish, a Northern Virginia physician and the group’s president, to the panel. The commission was created earlier this year to study the impact of illegal immigration on the commonwealth.
The Muslim American Society has significant ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, a group founded in Egypt, Gilbert said. “It is unfortunate that the Governor would choose the leader of an organization such as this to represent many the freedom-loving Muslim citizens of Virginia on this important commission,” Gilbert said.
“While the Muslim American Society claims to be the innocent face of peaceful Islam in America, their history and teachings tell a much different story. Unfortunately, it is a story about which all Americans have become much too familiar — that of the promotion of a global Islamic state. The questionable origin and teachings of this group should give the Governor some serious concerns about his recent appointment. Even though this organization has a savvy public relations machine, the public face that it projects may disguise some very troubling hidden intentions.”
Here’s Gov. Kaine’s speech on September 11, 2007:
RICHMOND – Governor Timothy M. Kaine released the following statement on today’s sixth anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks in Arlington, New York City, and Pennsylvania:
“Today marks the sixth anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks.
“I join all Virginians in honoring those who lost their lives that day, and urge the citizens of the Commonwealth to reflect on the daily service and sacrifice of our first responders, firefighters, police officers, and members of our armed forces
“Let us use this sixth anniversary of 9/11 as a time to set a new priority to commit ourselves to offer service to others. The America that we know, and the Commonwealth that was attacked six years ago, is at its best and shines its brightest when we each give of ourselves in service to others.”
In addition, Governor Kaine has ordered that U.S. and Commonwealth of Virginia flags be flown at half-staff throughout Virginia until sunset today in observance of Patriot Day 2007.
I don’t think he understands what happened 6 years ago…
I just sent him an email. I’ll be interested in his response.
Some things just should not be tolerated!

Well, now you know the Senators who are truly owned by MoveOn.org. I hope you noticed the presidential candidates in the list above.
I have been angry at our politicians many times before but never to this extent and never have I been so ashamed of their actions.
I was raised with the adage “consider the source” when confronted with something said that confused, bemused or angered me. This led me to becoming really good at researching something or someone. I never take anything written or anyone at face value. I look at what’s ‘behind the curtain’ in most everything that affects me or my family ~ I hate surprises.
So with that in mind, Brat from Tanker Brothers sent me this little tidbit from the WorldNetDaily:
Muslim terrorist leaders are “thankful” for the efforts of activist and congressional candidate Cindy Sheehan, stating in a new book Sheehan’s anti-Iraq war activities and her statements against President Bush “give us hope” the U.S. will change its Mideast policies.
“You [Sheehan] give us hope and you show us that there are different Americans than those whom we know,” stated Ramadan Adassi, chief of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades terror group in the West Bank’s Anskar Refugee Camp.
Click on the title to read the rest and find out just who these wonderful folks are who are singing her praises. Not surprising that folks such as these would be so enamored with the likes of that woman. Now, I came to the conclusion a long time ago that if it makes the terrorists happy, it’s bad for my country. (Just wish more politicians would come to the same conclusion. But then, apparently most don’t read anything but the NYT.) The woman who will not be named is making the terrorists happy. Hence, she is not good for my country. As are all the ones who stand with her.
I really need to open my email later in the morning. I did not have enough coffee yet for the likes of that…
From Newsbusters: Just so you know the truth ~
Fools Rush In
Following obviously superficial scans of former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspans new book, the mainstream media fell all over themselves trying to make Bush look bad. The lead example? That Greenspan said we went to war for oil. The truth was a little different. MRC analysts reported that in the Washington Post and on the Today show Monday, Greenspan said oil was “not the administration’s motive” and in fact that his Today show interview made abundantly clear the inaccuracy of the implication that Greenspan was somehow endorsing a left-wing conspiracy theory about how George W. Bush went to war to financially benefit Dick Cheney’s oil industry friends.

CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. — Charges have been dropped against a captain who was accused of failing to investigate the deaths of 24 Iraqi civilians in the town of Haditha, the Marine Corps said Tuesday.
Capt. Lucas M. McConnell of Napa was granted immunity and ordered to cooperate with officials looking into the November 2005 killings, the Marines said in a press release….

Green Berets Face Hearing on Killing of Suspect in Afghan Village
By PAUL von ZIELBAUER

FORT BRAGG, N.C., Sept. 17 — From his position about 100 yards away,
Master Sgt. Troy Anderson had a clear shot at the Afghan man standing
outside a residential compound in a village near the Pakistan border last
October. When Capt. Dave Staffel, the Special Forces officer in charge,

In June, Captain Staffel and Sergeant Anderson were charged with
WE are at war. We have an enemy that doesn’t play by the rules. Our troops know the rules and carry them out, often to their own endangerment. Too much politics and PC BS going on here.
And then there’s more from MoveOn.org:
By Susan Jones

September 20, 2007
(CNSNews.com) – MoveOn.org has released the latest ad in its controversial “betrayal series” — this one, criticizing Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell and his fellow Republicans for a “betrayal of trust.”
A week after calling Gen. David Petraeus, the top U.S. commander in Iraq, “General Betray Us,” the liberal advocacy group is blasting Republicans for undermining U.S. troops by denying them “a reasonable time to spend with their families before returning to war.”

Dems Cast Republicans as Callous Toward US Troops
By Susan Jones
CNSNews.com Senior Editor
September 20, 2007
(CNSNews.com) – House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is accusing Republicans of ignoring the wishes of the American people — and the welfare of U.S. troops — by defeating an amendment that would have restricted U.S. troop rotations.
The Senate on Wednesday mustered only 56 votes — four votes short of the 60 votes necessary to bring up the amendment for consideration.(A similiar amendment failed by the same margin in July.)
Click on the title to read the rest.
Sen John Cornyn is reintroducing his resolution:
The now-infamous Moveon.org ad — “General Petraeus or General Betray Us” — marks a potential watershed in U.S. political discourse. A radical-left interest group has undertaken to accuse our military leadership of treason for working towards victory in the war against Islamic terrorists. The open question now is — will the majority Congressional party continue to tacitly endorse this scurrilous tactic by its most activist supporters, or will this defamation be repudiated? We are about to find out.
The ad in the New York Times defamed a highly respected, highly decorated four star General who has dedicated his life to serving our country. The assault had a specific purpose. It was designed to discredit Gen. David Petraeus in advance of a congressionally ordered report on the situation in Iraq. Gen. Petraeus, while stressing that much work remains, delivered good news about the progress we’re making in the war against Islamic terrorists and rooting out al Qaeda.
I can’t find the text for the Boxer amendment at the moment. They’re voting on it now.
I’ll post it when I find it.
Help us, Lord, help us…
This just occurred in New York just 2 days before 9/11. Can we say sell-out???

Atlas Shrugs Pamela manages to fill her blog with excellent photos and video. The sharp eyed reader may even catch a glimpse of Charles W. ourGOE Northeast Coordinator!
Definitely watch Pamela’s video!!
Urban Infidel UI starts off with her usual excellent photographs and commentary. Her effort is hampered by internet issues at the moment but I am sure the rest of her pics and video will be online shortly.
Driss-a-Blog Shira writes a cogent and insightful report on her experiences today observing the parade and the counter protests. I look forward to reading more of her reports in the future.
One little ditty being chanted by fully covered ladies:
We are the Muslims
Mighty, mighty Muslims
We are the Muslims
Might, mighty Muslims
Wherever we may go
People want to know who we are… (repeat)Gateway Pundit has some pictures and commentary from Rocco DiPippo who was there.
Slavery, submission under pain of death, Jihad, beheadings, wife beating, honor killings, using our jets as weapons against us, using women and children as human shields as well as homicide bombs, torturing our soldiers in an unspeakable manner (and it wasn’t waterboarding), anti-semitism, sharia law, the Caliphate, liars, killers of Christians, Buddhists, etc. homosexuals and their own people.
I Will Not Submit.
Well, even though the Senators and Congressmen are on break, their tongues have not been idle. I really don’t understand how the Libs believe that bringing America to its knees will benefit the country. I’m glad that I don’t ~ then I’d be one of them….*shiver*
“With the President continuing to stay the course in Iraq, Republicans will have to decide whether they will continue to vote with him or join Democrats and the vast majority of Americans who are demanding a new direction in Iraq and refocusing America’s efforts on fighting the real threats of terrorism around the world.”
(She sure is good at telling others what they should do, isn’t she?)
“The hearings will examine the ongoing situation in Iraq and the effectiveness of the President’s war policy. Congress voted in May to require reports from the GAO, General Jones, and the White House to look at the political and military situation in Iraq. The American people expect an honest and open debate and for Congress to be given the facts.” (HA! Open and Honest, my tookus!)
“In short, the President’s strategy is costing America dearly – and leading America exactly in the wrong direction. A change of course in Iraq is long overdue. In the coming weeks, Democrats will once again press Republicans to join the fight to make that change – a change that is essential for America’s national security.”
(What frickin’ change? Oh! That’s right ~ DEFEAT!)
(Can we say broken record?)
“I am also concerned about indications that the Administration may be working hard to provide the Congress with spin rather than an objective analysis in its own assessments. The press has reported that the recent Iraq National Intelligence Estimate’s security judgments may have been softened under pressure and that that a government whistleblower may have provided a draft of the GAO report to the press out of concern that its judgments would be softened in the final version. The American people expect an honest and open debate and for Congress to be given the facts.”
(I love the faith they have in the press – heh! Again with the Honest and Open thingie…Congress gets “the facts ” and puts their hands over their ears, all the while going “LaLaLaLa” and then make up their own facts. And they wonder why their Poll numbers are the lowest in this country’s history.)
Then there’s my Virgina senators – god help us:
“There is nothing happening in Iraq that was not only predictable but also predicted. The United States must move aggressively toward a regional diplomatic solution that will stabilize the region. This will free up our forces to fight the war against terrorism and deal with long-neglected strategic challenges in other parts of the world,” said Webb.”
(Now and here I’ve been thinking all this time that our troops were fighting the war on terror….I wonder if our troops know this?)
Warner said the president and other leading Bush administration officials have repeatedly said the American commitment to Iraq was not open-ended.
“The time has come to put some meaningful teeth into those comments — to back them up with some clear, decisive action,” the senator said. Have to say I’m glad he’s retiring.
And you have to give Levin points for opening mouth, inserting foot:
I”raqi leaders have not met their own political benchmarks to share power and resources, to modify the de-Baathification laws, to schedule provincial elections, and to amend their constitution.
That’s why I hope that the Iraqi Assembly, when it reconvenes in a few weeks, will vote the Maliki government out of office and will have the wisdom to replace it with a less sectarian and a more unifying prime minister and government.”
Good going, Senator! Your non-vote of confidence is noted!
Of course, they really don’t give a poop about “the people” except to keep them down and control them with their Nanny State agenda. If the people who vote democrat suddenly rose up and believed that they could take care of themselves, the Democratic Party would mostly be out of a job. Kind of like the priests way back in the day when they kept people from learning to read and had all the church services in Latin. Nothing like being able to spoon feed your agenda (power and control) to the masses.
Maybe it was just the way I was raised – pull yourself up by your own bootstraps and if you don’t, you have no one to blame but yourself. Doesn’t mean we don’t help people. But a hand up instead of a handout goes so much farther.
“San Francisco City Supervisor Gerardo Sandoval,
who has introduced a resolution condemning
Michael Savage, is indicative of the felonious
public officials who will go to any length to silence
those who disagree with them. The public,
communities, and country they were elected to
serve be damned. Stick it to the legal citizenry
is their credo. The elected on both sides of the
aisle are guilty, especially those in the White
House and Congress.”

That about sums it up, doesn’t it?
You can read his whole column “When Silence Isn’t Golden” here.
Another column that speaks of the hypocrisy of the Democrats and Republicans is a must read:
I also watched some of the panels that were aired this past week on the war and terrorism. Oh my! So many so-called experts stuck on stupid.
The one that made my blood boil was this one:
They kept talking about the “Fear” factor by the Administration in going after Terrorism. How Civil Rights are being trampled and/or disappearing. How we, the citizens of these United States, are going to be *gasp* spied on with this new FISA arrangement. Who’s talking fear here?
And did you know that there are “Phantom Americans”? Apparently, I’m one of them…Yes, they’re the Americans (who don’t really exist,) who, (so say the elected officials, mostly Republicans, of course) buy into this Fear Mongering and believe that the security of this country is necessary and in peril, unlike the Real Americans (who do exist) who believe as this panel does.
Of course, the panel was very well picked for furthering the belief of the coming of the “facsist state” and that we’re not really in danger here, except by the fascist administration.
They’re not too happy with the Dems either. But then these people never seem happy about anything except the downfall of the US.

10:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Session 4B: Ending U.S. Sponsored Torture: A Concern for All People of Faith
The threat and reality of U.S. sponsored torture is still an issue today. The extensive news coverage by the U.S. and international media sources makes it all too clear that the grim abuses in Abu Gharib, Guantanamo Bay, and the sending of detainees to secret prisons around the world that are known to torture during interrogations, are not isolated incidents, but rather constitute policy of the U.S. government. ISNA, Christian (including evangelical), Jewish and Sikh organizations have created the National Religious Campaign Against Torture to lead the faith-based efforts to end U.S. sponsored torture. This session will describe the nature of U.S. sponsored torture, the effects of torture on its victims, the efforts of the U.S. religious community, and what you can do to help end U.S. sponsored torture [Ed — pdf reader required].

Well, isn’t that just duckie?! But then we’re not really fighting the real war on terror…this is all just a Bumper Sticker War.
Posted by a Phantom American.
Just got back from my trip to Somerset PA, where I confronted the annual meeting of the Flight 93 Memorial Project by continuing to expose the many Islamic and terrorist memorializing features in the chosen memorial design. Several important developments.
Read the whole post. The Gathering of Eagles are discussing this in the forums too.
I knew that the memorial bigwigs were considering having the names of the terrorist scum on the glass but I thought they had decided against it. I apparently was way wrong.
Makes me sick to think about the insidious tolerance creeping into our society for the evil that is attacking our country.
Two articles. Same war.
The Road Home NYT
It is time for the United States to leave Iraq, without any more delay than the Pentagon needs to organize an orderly exit…Apparently it’s not enough for the left to tell those of us who live in the US how to think and act, but now they’re taking on the world.
Baqubah Update Michael Yon
Today marks “D +16” of Operation “Arrowhead Ripper,” the Battle for Baqubah. Arrowhead Ripper kicked off on 19 June 07…Media coverage went from a near monopoly (Michael Gordon from New York Times and me) to a nearly capsized boat as journalists flooded in from other parts of Iraq to see the fight. They managed to miss most of it. Today, I’m told, there are now only 3 journalists remaining, including one writer (me)…
Yet the NYT can demand that the troops leave Iraq.
Despite President Bush’s repeated claims, Al Qaeda had no significant foothold in Iraq before the invasion, which gave it new base camps, new recruits and new prestige…
The big news on the streets today is that the people of Baqubah are generally ecstatic, although many hold in reserve a serious concern that we will abandon them again. For many Iraqis, we have morphed from being invaders to occupiers to members of a tribe. I call it the “al Ameriki tribe,” or “tribe America…”
The United States military cannot solve the problem. Congress and the White House must lead an international attempt at a negotiated outcome. To start, Washington must turn to the United Nations, which Mr. Bush spurned and ridiculed as a preface to war…
At first, he said, they would only target Shia, but over time the new al Qaeda directed attacks against Sunni, and then anyone who thought differently. The official reported that on a couple of occasions in Baqubah, al Qaeda invited to lunch families they wanted to convert to their way of thinking. In each instance, the family had a boy, he said, who was about 11 years old. As LT David Wallach interpreted the man’s words, I saw Wallach go blank and silent. He stopped interpreting for a moment. I asked Wallach, “What did he say?” Wallach said that at these luncheons, the families were sat down to eat. And then their boy was brought in with his mouth stuffed. The boy had been baked. Al Qaeda served the boy to his family…
Negotiations and the UN…They can write a harshly worded letter to al Qaeda and ask them very firmly to stop baking children.
Yep! that’ll do it!
Then we can all sit in a frickin’ circle and sing Kumbiyah…
I took a break from packing yesterday, sat down with my laptop and clicked on some blogs that I usually read daily (when I’m not in the middle of putting my entire house in boxes), some milblogs, some political. I found myself getting angrier and angrier with every post I read. The posts weren’t in any way out of the ordinary ~ posts on the latest activities from Boots on the Ground, some good, some bad; posts about the political front, some good, some bad, mostly bad; posts about the media’s reporting on the war, all bad. (They can report about a massacre that never happened, but not on one that is verified and documented.)
Answer is gearing up for another onslaught on American values.
The woman who will not be named is back in the news. (Guess it’s hard to see everyone else get the attention.)
And the candidates for the office of the Presidency are wasting the time of you and me with their backstabbing, mudslinging and total disconnect from the reality of the state of this country and the war we’re involved in.
I hate politicians and all they stand for ~ which is basically themselves.
I read about the Muslims who are determined to kill as many people as possible all in the name of their Allah. I read about all the politicians around the globe that are spewing nonsense about not offending these bastards that want to kill us ~ and they’re serious!!!
I just couldn’t take anymore, so I turned off the computer and the TV (I multi-task – it’s my wiring. Thank god my DH is the same way or we’d have serious problems. lol)
My thoughts had gone toward the dark side. I was thinking how we should just bring our guys and gals home and as soon as they were on US soil, send in the bombers and just take care of the problem once and for all. Have a big, a$$-whooping do-over. Then take home all our toys from all the bases we have around the world and tell the unappreciative people around the world, “fine, you don’t like us…then you take care of yourselves from here on in.” Hell, we could fix everything that needs fixing here in the U.S. of A. with the money we would no longer be spending on the rest of the world. And then some.
Next we would kick the UN out of our country. They don’t like us either.
I’m so tired of the appeasers. I’m so tired of the politicians talking out of both sides of their mouths. I’m so tired of car bombs, homicide bombers, our troops getting fired at, blown up and killed. I’m so tired of listening to the c@%p coming out of the anti-everything-good-and-American useful idiots. I’m so tired of Muslims whining about being offended about everything but not doing one gotdam thing to counter the murderers in their BS “religion of peace”.
You see, I went to a 4th of July parade in a nearby town (no, it wasn’t in Santa Cruz. God forbid! We don’t need no steenkin’ patriotic nonsense here!) and watched the people who had come show very little enthusiasm. No one around us even stood when the Color Guard went by. Mary Kay and I were on our feet curbside. No one was applauding or whooping and ahollerin’ as the floats went by. So we were as loud as we could be, waving and yelling out to the people who had taken the time and energy to participate in celebrating our country’s Independence. We made sure all the recruiters who were in the parade knew we were there. We were having such a great time, calling out to them and waving our little flags.
We did finally get some folks to join in.
And that’s not all. I have a story that’s so appropriate for this holiday. This past Monday, the movers came with all the stuff from Ned’s Mom’s house that he wants to take to VA. Ned comes in and tells me that one of the moving guys is from Russia. P and his family left their home when the Berlin wall came down. You see, P is Jewish and things were a bit dicey in those days for Jews. They went to Israel and P did two years in the Israeli Army. After he got out of the Army, he came to America legally and became a citizen. He’s now married (I’m not sure if he married his wife in Israel or here) and wants to go into the Army Reserves, knowing full well he could be deployed. His wife is also thinking about joining.
(I gave him Soldiers Angels t-shirts and pins and thanked him for his service past, in Israel and future service here. He was a bit non-plussed, but accepted my hug gracefully – lol)
So, after these two experiences this past week and reading about all the BS from all the useful idiots in this country, I’ve become more than a little bit cranky. It doesn’t change ~ week in and week out. Even with all the criticism from around the country, the media is still reporting things that may or may not have happened, putting the worst light on it all. The politicians are still disconnected and seem determined to stay that way. The people around here continue to buy into the vitriolic lies about our military and the war.
I’m thinking I might just need a break for a bit and put my focus on each box I pack bringing me closer to Virginia and standing with the Eagles and fellow patriots in DC and the Freepers at Walter Reed, after visiting our wounded.
But I’ll be watching…
I have a few more things to post later ~ have to get a move on here!
Anyone out there???? ANYONE AT ALL??!!!
